The chairman of the Finland-Korea Society in his statement said that Kim Il Sung advanced the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation calling on all the Koreans to unite irrespective of ideology, political view and religious belief.

The patriotic idea and line on great national unity advanced by the President are being further developed in depth by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, he stressed, and went on:

Kim Jong Il provided the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and opened an epochal phase of independent reunification and great national unity. This is an event to be recorded specially in the history of the Korean people's reunification movement.

He expressed belief that the Korean people would consolidate the national unity under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il and thus certainly achieve the historic cause of independent reunification, peace and prosperity.

The chairman of the Friendship Society Norway-Korea stressed that Kim Il Sung consistently maintained the line for national reunification all his life and set forth the proposals and principles for driving foreign forces out of south Korea and reunifying the country by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

He reiterated his invariable support to the Korean people in their struggle for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
