The Ministry of Land and Environmental Conservation has updated the existing forest fire monitoring system for streaming distribution of necessary information to all provinces, cities and counties.

After setting up a comprehensive system for preventing forest fires in the Mt. Paektu area, the ministry has introduced it in all other parts of the country.

It has also renewed fire-forecasting software, installed more monitoring cameras and built more forest fire centers in all areas.

Combined headquarters involving officials of government and judicial organs and working people's organizations are active in all areas in spring to prevent forest fires.
