Hungju youth power stations Nos. 1 and 2, Yonha Power Station and other minor hydraulic power stations in the province have boosted the production to fully supply electricity to towns and villages.

The Jangjasan and other foodstuff factories in Kanggye City are operated by electricity generated by minor power stations.

The Wonsan Youth Power Station in Kangwon Province provides electricity to the Wonsan Glass Bottle Factory and some other factories.

South Hamgyong Province benefits from the Kumjingang Hungbong Youth Power Station, the Kumjingang Kuchang Youth Power Station and the Songchongang Power Station.
