Russian Environmentalist Accuses Japanese Government

| Moscow, April 9 (KCNA) -- Nikitin, an environmentalist of Russia, accused the Japanese government of releasing radioactive contaminated water into the sea from the Fukushima nuclear power plant. In a press interview on April 6, he charged that the Japanese authorities expressed view that the release of radioactive contaminant is not in violation of the international laws. The release of liquid radioactive waste to the sea is prohibited by the international convention and treaty, he added. |
