Chinese Paper Slashes at Japan's Release of Contaminated Water

Beijing, April 10 (KCNA) -- The Chinese Huan Qiu Shibao on April 6 carried an article slashing at the Tokyo Electric Power Co. of Japan for releasing radiation-contaminated water from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant to the sea.

Accusing the Japanese government of asserting that it was an unavoidable measure to release the contaminated water to the sea, the paper said: The contaminated water should be disposed of inside the territory of Japan in principle. It should not release the water to the Pacific unless the international community deems it as inevitable.
