The film deals with the immortal exploits performed by the President who put forward the unique line of building up the economy and defence simultaneously and wisely led the work to implement it, thus turning the country into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The film shows the historical days when the President led all the people to hastening socialist construction with rifle in one hand and hammer and sickle in the other hand to further increase the nation's economic and military capability.

It impressively deals with the fact that he provided a national meeting of families of martyrs and disabled soldiers and showed warm benevolence for the bereaved families and the disabled soldiers.

It tells about the undying exploits of the President who trained the Korean People's Army, driving force of the Songun revolution, into an invincible army and turned the whole country into an impregnable fortress by establishing the all-people, all-state defense system.
