The participants in the meeting laid floral baskets and flowers before the statue and made deep bows to it.

Led by Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, they made a pledge to hold Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the sun of Juche forever and surely build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation in Korea true to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

They expressed the resolution to adhere to the revolutionary idea and exploits of Kim Il Sung and creditably implement his behests.

They stressed the need for all the trade union members and other workers to become staunch fighters devotedly defending the leader and the ardent followers and strict carriers of the Songun idea of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Attending the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, trade union officials and members and other workers.
