Present there on invitation were co-chairmen and secretaries of the international preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of the President, who attended the consultative meeting of senior officials of the international preparatory committee.

Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is vice-chairwoman of the DPRK preparatory committee, addressed the reception.

She said that the recent consultative meeting marked an important occasion in commemorating the centenary of birth of the President as a great auspicious event in the history of mankind.

The Korean people will advance towards the rosy future of the 21st century together with the peoples of different countries, she added.

Anders Kristensen, co-chairman of the international preparatory committee, said in his speech that the Juche idea and the Songun politics gripping the hearts of the world people serve as a powerful weapon for frustrating the aggressive moves of the imperialists and building a new world, free and peaceful.

He stressed that the revolutionary exploits performed by Kim Il Sung who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the realization of the human cause of independence would always shine.

The international preparatory committee will creditably perform its honorable mission by successfully carrying out the resolution adopted by the consultative meeting, he concluded.
