The symphony orchestra is known in China as an art troupe performing Korean songs well.

The orchestra has a conductor who won a special prize of the Ministry of Culture last year, international concours winners and other talented performers.

The orchestra performs "Rich Harvest Comes to the Chongsan Plain", "We Miss His Bright Smile", the second movement of the symphony "President Kim Il Sung Will Be Always with Us", "Charm" and other Korean songs to win warm applause.

The performance is crowned with the orchestral music "DPRK-China Friendship Will Be Everlasting".

Zhang Hao, head of the orchestra, told KCNA that they would carry forward Sino-Korean friendship with music to live up to the expectation of the leaders and peoples of the two countries.

The orchestra performed in honor of leader Kim Jong Il last year when he was visiting China.
