The ballet is a world famous art troupe which has produced many talented danseurs and danseuses, including 17 international concours winners. It, formed in Juche 55 (1966), has made performance tours in some 200 cities of Russia and over 30 countries.

It is the first time for the troupe to participate in the Pyongyang festival.

The troupe performs "Dance of Russia" from the ballet drama "Swan Lake" and other pieces it prepared with sincerity to contribute to the festival held in praise of President Kim Il Sung.

The performance was enthusiastically acclaimed by the audience.
