The five-point policy serves as a powerful driving force encouraging all the Koreans in the north, south and overseas to wage a nationwide struggle for achieving independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The prevailing situation urgently requires all the fellow countrymen at home and abroad to dynamically struggle for achieving independent reunification, peace and prosperity, united close as one as called for by the policy.

It is necessary to hold higher the banner of "By our nation itself", the idea of independence and unity.

The idea serves as the banner of patriotism to be held aloft by all the Koreans at home and overseas at all times.
