The letter noted that during the festival its participants joined the Koreans in significantly commemorating the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung who is the eternal sun of the world progressives. They also strengthened cultural exchange among artistes of different countries and deepened friendship with each other through their performing activities, it added.

It said that they witnessed the achievements made in the cause of building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, looking at streets of Pyongyang put on holiday attire with the Day of the Sun as an occasion and bright faces of the Korean people full of confidence in victory and optimism and visiting different places associated with their wisdom and creative talents.

We will continuously attend with sincerity the future April Spring Friendship Art Festival to be staged in the noble idea of independence, peace and friendship and thus add luster to the festival stage, the letter said, adding:
