The work, published on August 4, Juche 86 (1997), deals with the undying exploits of Kim Il Sung and formulates the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo as three charters for national reunification.

It also indicates the tasks and ways for achieving national reunification on the basis of the three charters.
