The statement denounced the act, committed by Terry Jones, pastor of the U.S. Christian Church in Florida State, in March, as heinous, bigotry and provocative.

"Terry Jones has carried out his threat which is a declaration of War on Islam and Muslims, thereby endangering world peace and security," it said.

The statement urged the U.S. government to bring Terry Jones to justice as quickly as possible.
