The work, published on April 6, Juche 82 (1993), comprehensively touches on the ways for achieving the great unity of the whole Korean nation.

The ways call for founding a unified state through great national unity, achieving unity on the basis of love for nation and spirit of national independence, promoting co-existence, co-prosperity and common interests and ending all political disputes that trigger division and confrontation among fellow countrymen. They also call upon the north and the south to trust each other and unite and all Koreans to join hands on the road for national reunification irrespective of their differing idea and ism.
