Tornadoes Kill 45 People in US
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- 14 states of the U.S. suffered damage from the recent tornadoes.

More than 240 twisters were reported in those states from Thursday through Sunday, which killed 45 people, according to VOA.

They hit many buildings, cars, farmlands, etc.

There was fist-size hail in North Carolina.

Tornadoes stopped the supply of electricity to nuclear power plants in Virginia, bringing operation of two reactors to a halt.

Although the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission declared that there was no leakage of radioactive materials from those nuclear power plants until now, there is increasing concern about their security, according to foreign media.

A state of emergency was declared in seriously hit states.
