Scientist Famous for Development of Health Drinks
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce has a scientist who has developed various kinds of health drinks.

Ri Ki Sun, 54, succeeded in putting the processing methods of functional health drinks on a scientific basis.

She found out a new method of brewing Makkoli (crude liquor) in a simple way through yeast fermentation.

The method, which preserves the original flavor of the traditional drink, has been well received by public catering establishments.

By applying lactic acid bacteria, she developed maize drinks and chlorella-vegetable juice.

She also made health drinks with pumpkin, carrot, tomato, spinach and cabbage.
