The statement noted that 51 years have passed since the south Korean people, including youth and students, rose up against the fraudulent election of the Syngman Rhee dictatorial forces.

After the overthrow of the Syngman Rhee regime the U.S. has put forward other dictators to kill people and seek permanent division of the Korean nation while bringing nuclear war crisis to this land, it said.

The statement called upon all the people to cherish the spirit of the April 19 uprisers and struggle in unity to build a democratic, new society.
