Repeal of "National Security Law" Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- The Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy of south Korea on April 16 made public a report in which it held that the victims of the "National Security Law," a fascist law, has sharply increased since the emergence of the present puppet regime.

According to it, the number of those who were booked on charges of violation of the NSL under the present regime swelled 3.5 times that under the preceding regime.

Members of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and the Solidarity for Progress who legally visited the DPRK during the period of the former "government" were booked or imprisoned on charges of violation of NSL after the emergence of the present "government."

The number of cases of illegal wiretapping committed under the pretext of investigation into violation of NSL more than quadrupled as compared with that in the period of the preceding "government".

Citing these facts, the association said that the NSL's infringement upon even the elementary freedom of people would be intensified if the "Grand National Party"-introduced proposal for the retrogressive revision of the law aiming at "dissolution of enemy-benefiting organizations" passes through the "National Assembly".
