Sanya Declaration was released at the BRICS Leaders Meeting in South China's resort city of Sanya.

It said: Leaders of the BRICS Countries reiterated the need for a comprehensive reform of the UN, including its Security Council. As regards this, he said that China's stand remains unchanged over this issue.

"China supports reasonable and necessary reforms for the U.N. Security Council to make it more representative for developing countries, especially for African countries," Hong said.

China advocates UN member states to seek "a package of" solutions and reach the broadest consensus with patient and democratic consultation, he added.
