New Eco-Friendly City to Appear in Hunchun, China

| Beijing, April 21 (KCNA) -- China plans to build a new eco-friendly city in the border economic cooperation zone in Hunchun City, Jilin Province of China. The zone has favorable geographical conditions as it is on the borders of China, the DPRK and Russia on the lower River Tuman. It is 93 km away from Rajin Port, DPRK and 41 km away from Vladivostok, Russia. The plan envisages the construction of basic facilities, public service and industrial areas and residential districts during the 2011- 2013 first stage project and the construction of the expanded parts of the city during the 2014-2020 second stage project. The city will channel lots of funds into the project. |
