54 dietmen belonging to the "Association of Dietmen for Visiting 'Yasukuni Shrine'" flocked to the shrine on Friday to stir up militarism in the wake of the visit by the president and the vice-president of the Liberal Democratic Party on Thursday.

These visits could not but stun the international community as they took place at a time when it is greatly concerned about the nuclear disaster cause by the killer earthquake and the ensuing tsunami.

The world is cautious about the militarist behaviors of the Japanese reactionaries who visit the shrine even under the present state of emergency.

The shrine is a symbol of militarism as it keeps the mortuary tablets of top war criminals of the Japanese imperialists including Tojo, the boss of militarism, who committed all sorts of atrocities by perpetrating aggression and plunder of Asian countries in the period of World War II. So, it is cursed and hated by the Asian people.

Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries remain unchanged in their objective to justify and revive the Japanese imperialists' blood-stained history of aggression with Yasukuni Shrine as an ideological and moral mainstay of militarism.

By encouraging the visit to the shrine, they are extolling war criminals and inculcating the idea of supporting the history of aggression in the Japanese people, not guilty conscience, in a bid to militarize the Japanese society and create a social atmosphere for reinvasion.

It is the ulterior aim of the Japanese reactionaries to hurl young Japanese and other people equipped with the militarist idea into overseas aggression when time comes.

It is quite natural for the international community to closely follow the moves of the Japanese reactionaries blinded by the ambition for overseas aggression to infuse the militarist idea into the people and remain highly vigilant against Japan.

Japan's reinvasion is bound to lead to self-destruction.

The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to halt their rash militarist acts, not forgetting the bitter lesson drawn from the defeat the Japanese imperialists sustained while frantically invading Asia.
