S. Korean Conservative Authorities' Anti-Reunification Acts Censured
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued a memorandum on Saturday condemning internally and externally the south Korean conservative authorities for denying dialogue and driving the inter-Korean relations to catastrophe while persistently escalating the confrontation with compatriots and perpetrating anti-reunification acts.

As soon as the present south Korean conservative group came to power, it stopped all dialogues overnight and trampled on all the successes achieved thanks to the north-south joint declarations, the memorandum said, and went on:

A number of dialogues and contacts for implementing the October 4 declaration including the first meeting of the panel for cooperation in railways between the north and the south, the north-south working contact for revitalizing the tour of Mt. Kumgang and the first meeting of the panel for cooperation in roads between the north and the south which were held between the DPRK and the former south Korean authorities in Kaesong between the end of January and February of 2008 ended without any results.

After the emergence of the regime in February of 2008 the puppet group declared its moves against dialogue as a policy, bringing them to an extreme phase.

More than 20 north-south dialogues including the second north-south premiers' talks and the second vice premier-level meeting of the north-south joint committee for economic cooperation expected to take place in the first half of 2008 and cooperation undertakings were scuttled, bringing them to an end.

The Lee Myung Bak group's anti-reunification acts can never be pardoned, it noted, urging it not to misjudge the north's efforts for dialogue but cogitate about the serious consequences to be entailed by its moves against dialogue and reunification, it warned.
