Watching molten iron flowing down from the Juche iron furnace, he was greatly satisfied to see the complex keeping the Juche iron production going at a high rate. He highly praised the officials, workers and technicians of the complex for having devoted their wisdom and enthusiasm to displaying the advantages of the Juche iron production system.

The Juche iron production system has been established and technological updating gained in depth, bringing about a radical change in the complex's structure and production there, he said, adding that this stirring reality in the complex is a striking proof of the validity and great vitality of the WPK's line on realizing the Juche orientation of the national economy.

Noting that the successful realization of the Juche orientation of metal industry through painstaking efforts for decades marks the biggest-ever event as it provided a new landmark in the nation's history of industry, he said that the Juche orientation is the invariable path to be followed by the DPRK's economy.

The foundation of the independent national economy of the DPRK has been cemented and the level of the country's industrialization has reached a higher stage thanks to the devoted struggle of all the people, he said, adding that this enormous potential provides a sure guarantee for accomplishing the cause of building a thriving nation.

It is of very weighty importance for building an economic power to develop steel industry, he said, setting forth the tasks facing the complex.

Underscoring the need to dynamically push forward the drive to build new production processes in order to steadily increase the iron and steel production, he specified the orientation and ways to do so.

Then, he went round a duck farm to acquaint himself with the supply service at the complex.

All affairs including production are going on well at the complex thanks to good supply service, he said, highly praising again the party and administrative officials of the complex for making tenacious efforts, retaining a firm hold on the supply service.

He had a photo session with the labor innovators of the complex.

He once again ardently called for dynamically conducting an all-out offensive and an all-out drive for breakthrough to translate the desire of President Kim Il Sung to build a rich and powerful country into reality and thus commemorate the centenary of his birth as the greatest holiday of Kim Il Sung's nation and a great auspicious event in human history.
