China hoped the parties concerned to exercise restraint, refrain from unilateral provocation in order to stabilize the situation as soon as possible, he said.

He noted that China hoped that the Palestine-Israel conflict would be solved through political and diplomatic ways and finally a sovereign and independent state of Palestine would be built.

He stressed that China was opposed to settlement activities of Israel on the occupied Palestinian territory.
