It will be held divided into 19 panels including light industry, agriculture, coal, electricity, metal, machinery, biology and chemistry.

Presented to the festival were at least 350 pieces of scientific and technological achievements which proved successful at local festivals of science and technology and achievements made in more than 20 industrial establishments.

Attending the ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Ha Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Yong Jin, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned, scientists, technicians and working people.

Ri Ja Bang, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission who doubles as chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony its participants went round the festival venue.
