Lee Myung Bak Accused of Holding Alumni Reunion Meeting
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on April 26 carried an editorial titled "Is the president allowed to hold an alumni reunion meeting with taxes collected from people?"

The editorial recalled that Lee Myung Bak invited at least 200 graduates from Tongji Commercial High School in Phohang to Chongwadae on April 9 and held the above-said meeting.

Present there was Lee Sang Duk, lawmaker from the "Grand National Party" who is an elder brother of Lee Myung Bak, it said.

At least ten million won might be spent for the meeting, it said, and went on:

There is no law that allows the "president" to hold such meeting with the taxes collected from the people.

If this is allowed to happen, no one can say any words critical in case provincial governors, mayors, county headmen and other officials across south Korea hold similar meetings for wining and dining at state expenses.

To make matters worse, Lee Myung Bak is accused of not distinguishing public affairs from private ones.

He had better brace himself again as a government official.
