The work, published on April 6, Juche 82 (1993), comprehensively clarifies the issues of founding a unified state through the unity of the whole nation, achieving unity on the basis of patriotism and spirit of national independence, promoting co-existence, co-prosperity and common interests and ending all political disputes that foster division and confrontation between fellow countrymen and attaining trust and unity between the north and the south.

It also indicates overall ways for achieving the great national unity including the matters of not rejecting each other because of differing ism but advancing hand in hand on the road of national reunification.
