Japan's Moves to Grab Tok Islets Denounced

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology recently approved 12 kinds of textbooks raising a claim to Tok Islets. Leading papers of the DPRK Friday term this as absolutely unpardonable as it is a sheer distortion of history and a move to grab other's territory. Japan's claim to Tok Islets is a brazen-faced one aimed to put the territory of other country under its control. This goes to prove that Japan is still keen to repeat the crime-woven past, remaining unchanged in its aggressive nature, Rodong Sinmun says in a bylined article. The article goes on: Tok Islets are part of the inviolable territory of Korea. The Japanese reactionaries are seeking to grab Tok Islets, insisting that they belong to Japan. This is a wanton infringement upon the sovereignty of the DPRK. The reactionaries of Japan let history book writers include the claim to Tok Islets in the books, prompted by a sinister purpose, in a bid to teach the young Japanese distorted history and use them as a shock brigade and cannon fodder for realizing their ambition for reinvasion. This behavior is a serious problem which should be viewed in linkage with their evermore undisguised moves to turn their country into a military giant and launch overseas expansion. They should bear in mind that Tok Islets always remain part of the inviolable territory of Korea. Minju Joson in a bylined article says that the moves shamelessly stepped up by Japan to grab other's territory and tamper with its history, paying no heed to the reasonable demands of the Korean people and the international community, are as foolish as precipitating its own self-destruction. |
