The tragic accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant 25 years ago brought the gravest technological engineering disaster to the world, the letter said.

The aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster has not yet been eradicated finally, it noted, stressing that Russia considers the accident at the nuclear power plant of Japan as serious and more clearly realizes the urgency and importance of the issue of ensuring security of the nuclear objects.
