The election returns reflect the resentment against the present "government" and the ruling party, which have pushed the people into constant danger of war and sufferings through sycophancy toward foreign forces, national confrontation and policies for big businesses, the commentary said.

One can know well about the people's mindset through the ruling party's defeat in the areas close to the Military Demarcation Line in which the south and the north stand in acute confrontation, it noted.

It warned the authorities and the GNP to clearly see the people's mindset though belatedly.
