There were 137 reports of storms and tornados that hit Alabama, Mississippi and other states as of April 28, leaving at least 200 people dead and causing big material losses.

The governor of Alabama State said that 131 persons were killed in the state, adding that the death toll would increase in the future.

A state of emergency was declared in Alabama and Mississippi states hard hit.
