They charged that the life of inhabitants in Paeksok-ri, Rungso-myon, Ryoju County has been ruthlessly trampled down for over 50 years since the air force firing range appeared there.

They disclosed that frequent military exercises caused huge damage including death of inhabitants in surrounding areas, destruction of schools and dwelling houses and massive death of domestic animals.

They accused the military authorities of mulling seizing millions of square meters of more land as part of the firing range expansion plan, far from making apology to the inhabitants in Ryoju County and compensating them for the damage.

They demanded that the military authorities immediately cancel the expansion moves.
