Palestinian Leadership Slams Israeli New Jewish Settlement Plans

| Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Saeb Erekat, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)'s Executive Committee, in an interview with a radio on Wednesday said that the Palestinian leadership slammed Israeli plans to build new houses in an east Kuds settlement. He called for an international, mainly U.S. intervention to stop the plans of building 386 houses in east Kuds. "The continuation of settlement construction destroys all chances left for the peace process," Erekat noted. He called upon the international community to put pressure on Israel to cancel such unreasonable plans at once. |
