Bulletins on DPRK Issued Abroad

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea published the 75th issue of its bulletin under the title of "Kimjongilia". The bulletin carried an article with a photo of Kimjongilia, an immortal flower, which said: An authorized botanist of a country said that if a flower festival is to be held in the moon, Kimjongilia will be presented as the main flower of the earth, garden of humankind, together with Kimilsungia, a flower of the sun. Kimjongilia was bred by Mototeru Kamo, a horticulturist of Japan. He named this flower after General Secretary Kim Jong Il and presented it to the leader on his birthday in February 1988. The bulletin cited data to tell about the fact that Kimjongilia was awarded special prizes, gold medals, diplomas and other highest prizes at international flower shows. It also noted that the International Society for Horticultural Science officially registered the flower as a new variety of Begoniaceae and Kimjongilia associations and Kimjongilia fanciers societies were organized and Kimjongilia greenhouses built in different countries and regions. Kimjongilia festivals and shows have taken place before full houses in the DPRK and other countries amid the worldwide interest in this flower, the bulletin said. Meanwhile, the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna of Austria issued a bulletin on April 25, the 79th birthday of the Korean People's Army. The bulletin carried an article titled "KPA, invincible defender of DPRK's sovereignty" with a photo of Kim Jong Il acknowledging the parade ranks. |
