The newly manufactured geothermal equipment is highly efficient energy-saving equipment capable of heating and air-conditioning buildings with geothermal water available anywhere in the country.

It is rich in resources of geothermal water and favorable for developing and using this water. Accordingly, when geothermal equipment are produced and introduced on a large scale, dramatic changes will take place in heating and air-conditioning industrial establishments, public buildings, dwelling houses, greenhouses and other structures.

In January this year General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the complex and advanced the task and ways for manufacturing geothermal equipment based on cutting-edge technology in an indigenous way as required by the developing reality in which geothermal resource, a new kind of energy, is widely developed and used.

The complex finished the design of a cutting-edge compressor in a matter of less than 15 days in cooperation with the Mining Machinery Institute under the State Academy of Sciences and Hamhung University of Hydraulic Engineering.

Its Songun Compressor Shop satisfactorily ensured the processing and assembling of accessories requiring the highest precision, thus succeeding in the manufacture of a new type screw compressor in a matter of one month.

Such cutting-edge geothermal equipment will be mass-produced at all machine-building centers across the country.
