|
|
Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- One of the spectacular sights in Mt. Myohyang is a scene of rhododendron yedoense shrubs growing in front of the Pulyong Pavilion attached to the Pohyon Temple. Many tourists make a stop there to take pictures of the beautiful flowering trees. Among the shrubs is a 600-odd-year-old tree. It, two meters tall, opens its flowers early in May. The flower of violet and pink colors is one of the Korean people's favorite flowers. It, belonging to the azalea family, keeps its double blossom long. It is seen in flowerbeds and parks. It is also cultivated as hedge. |
