DPRK Army Day Celebrated by Russian and Pakistani Papers

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Russian and Pakistani papers carried special write-ups containing a commemorative article on the occasion of the 79th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army. The issue No. 16 of the Russian paper Patriot carried a special write-up interwoven with a portrait of President Kim Il Sung and photos on General Secretary Kim Jong Il's revolutionary activities. The paper in an article gave a detailed account of the facts that thanks to the President's brilliant military idea and strategy and wise leadership, the KPA worked such miracles of history as defeating the U.S. and Japanese imperialists and has grown stronger to be invincible revolutionary armed forces. The paper noted that Kim Jong Il has enforced the Songun politics, upholding the idea and cause of the President. But for the strong army, the DPRK could not have protected socialism from the ceaseless provocations of the U.S., it said. The April 22nd issue of Pakistani papers Daily Assas and Al Akhbar carried articles titled "Extraordinary strategist" and "Korean People's Army, pillar of socialist cause." The papers praised the personality of Kim Jong Il as great man who is perfectly possessed of qualifications and traits as the peerlessly brilliant commander and the invincible might of the KPA. |
