Present there were delegations and delegates of more than 160 countries including the DPRK.

The meeting discussed the issues of enhancing state and public concern for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other non-infectious diseases, increasing investment in them, decreasing the use of tobacco and alcohol, the basic factors of the outbreak of illness, and establishing a sound way of life.

The meeting closed by adopting a Moscow declaration on the prevention and treatment of non-infectious diseases.
