A ceremony took place at Antonio Maceo Square in Santiago de Cuba City on Sunday.

Raul Castro, president of the Council of State of Cuba, was present at the ceremony together with huge masses.

The general secretary of the Santiago de Cuba Provincial Committee of the Center of the Cuban Workers, speaking at the ceremony, called upon all the working people to get united and build a better society for Cuba and the world.

Then followed a demonstration.

Its participants marched, chanting slogans with national flags and placards bearing the letters supporting the line adopted at the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba in their hands.
