A large number of workers are suffering pain due to layoff and dismissal and industrial disasters, the ever-increasing number of part-time workers and the crisis in the labor movement. All this is a product of the U.S. neo-liberalist policy.

The south Korean workers, therefore, regarded the opposition to the conclusion of FTA with the U.S. and the pullout of the U.S. forces from south Korea as life and death tasks and have turned out in the struggle to carry them out.
