The statement fully supported the struggle of the workers who turned out to judge the present regime which trampled down upon the vital rights of the people from all walks of life and their desire for peaceful reunification on the occasion of May Day.

The period since the present authorities came to power is recorded with all kinds of crimes such as the suppression of the labor movement, the reduction of the taxes to be paid by the rich, environmental pollution, confrontation with fellow countrymen, war moves and sycophancy and treachery, it noted.

It accused the authorities of getting frantic with the purchase of war hardware for invading the north while working with blood-shot eyes to tighten the aggressive alliance with the U.S. and Japan.

It branded this as acts of escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen, increasing the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula and threatening peace.

It called upon the people from all walks of life to get united to judge the present regime and bring earlier peace and reunification.
