Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a bylined article.

It goes on:

There go in south Korea ceaseless joint military exercises with outside forces and conspiratorial rackets, all targeted against the DPRK.

The cause of national reunification is the one for national independence as it is aimed to put an end to foreign domination and interference in the internal affairs of south Korea and establish national sovereignty throughout Korea.

It is absolutely impossible to achieve the reunification of the country and national unity as long as the stand of attaching importance to foreign forces, the stand of giving priority to outside forces, not the stand of attaching importance to the nation, is allowed.

While talking about "priority to the south Korea-U.S. relations" and "restoration of the alliance," the present conservative authorities of south Korea have pursued the policy subservient to outside forces, placing the relations with the U.S. above the inter-Korean relations.

Yielding to the U.S. demands, they have totally scuttled the work for north-south reconciliation and cooperation and escalated north-south confrontation.

This is clearly evidenced by the present catastrophic consequences entailed by the south Korean authorities' cooperation with foreign forces.

The reality of the inter-Korean relations in the past and at present goes to prove that the firm adherence to the stand of attaching importance to the nation would help promote national reconciliation and unity and meet Koreans' common wishes and interests but the stand of attaching importance to foreign forces and cooperation with outsiders would make it impossible to properly solve any problem but throw hurdles in the way of accomplishing the cause of national reunification.

The south Korean authorities would be well advised to properly understand the desire of the nation and the demand of the times, roll back at once the policy of toeing foreign forces and cooperating with outsiders and take the stand of attaching importance to the nation.
