Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a signed commentary carried in this regard: The above-said actions of the U.S. brought to light its strategic design to stifle the DPRK militarily and establish a military domination over the whole of the Korean Peninsula and, furthermore, over the Asia-Pacific region.

The U.S. claims that the MD pushed forward by it on an unprecedented scale is aimed to cope with the "missile threat" from someone, but it is nothing but a crafty artifice to cover up its aggressive nature, the commentary notes, and goes on:

By establishing the MD worldwide, the U.S. seeks to fully contain its potential rivals by force of arms and put the world under its military domination.

The U.S. has regarded the military domination over the whole of the peninsula as a key link in the chain efforts to establish its military domination over the world.

Prompted by this aim, the U.S. is putting spurs to the moves to establish the MD aimed at making a preemptive strike at the DPRK by plugging its satellite forces into them under the pretext of the above-said missile threat.

The military tension on the peninsula where the interests of big powers are complicatedly intertwined and which has become one of the world hot spots leads to the escalation of the military tension not only in the Asia-Pacific region but in the rest of the world and sparks an arms race.

The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times toward peace and immediately give up the aggressive and anachronistic MD.
