Several hundred people have benefited from the service over the past two and half years.

The service is undertaken by experienced medical workers of different hospitals, including Kim Man Yu Hospital, Pyongyang Medical College Hospital, Oncology Institute, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Skin-disease Preventive Centre and General Dental Hospital.

In particular, the service renders much assistance to those suffering from brain and heart diseases in their surgical operations.

The telemedicine service is free in the country.
