Matteo Carbonelli, secretary general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, made a report under the title of "Independent politics and Songun politics".

The reporter stressed that the DPRK's Songun politics serves for defending and realizing independence of the country and the nation and reflects the demand and aspiration of the popular masses for independence.

Different countries and nations of the world are now being trampled down by the imperialists for they have had no strong defence capability, the reporter said, adding: This reality goes to clearly prove how just the DPRK's Songun policy, independent policy, is.

Bruno Amoroso, deputy director-general of the Society, said at the seminar that the Songun policy enforced in socialist Korea is the most powerful and successful mode of politics in the present times.

The scientific accuracy and originality of this policy and its great vitality and invincibility would have been unthinkable without the Juche idea recognized as the idea guiding the human cause of independence, he stressed.

Aldo Bernardini, chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche idea, said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il the Korean people would certainly build a thriving socialist nation under the banner of Songun while adhering to independence.
