Japanese Reactionaries' Visit to "Yasukuni Shrine" Slammed

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and tens of Dietmen recently visited "Yasukuni Shrine" to incite militarism. Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a signed commentary: Japanese politicians including the party leader and Dietmen vied with each other to visit the shrine on the "spring festival" and prayed for the souls of the dead who were sternly punished by history for their madcap overseas aggression in the past. This is a dangerous act to revive the soul of militarism. The Japanese right-wing conservative politicians are putting forward the war criminals of the Japanese imperialists who committed inhuman crimes in the past as "patriots". This is a ruse to revive militarism and launch reinvasion. It is quite natural for the international public circles including Asian countries to rebuff and assail the said visit as a militarist racket. At a time when the Japanese people are suffering big pain and wrapped in uneasiness and terror due to the unexpected massive disasters, many Japanese politicians herded to the shrine again. This is a folly which can be done only by the militarist maniacs. The Japanese reactionaries are now openly working to tamper with history and grab Tok Islets. They are not only embellishing all the past crimes as "just" and "righteous" but also claiming that the islets belong to "Japan". This goes to prove that they are working with blood-shot eyes to carry out their ambition for territorial expansion and reinvasion. They would be well advised to act with reason, clearly understanding that their reckless moves for revival of militarism and reinvasion is as foolish an act as throwing Japan into a pitfall of destruction. |
