The meeting reviewed the activities of the society last year and discussed the orientation of its work for this year.

The chairman of the society expressed firm conviction that the Korean people under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il would build a thriving socialist nation without fail and accomplish the cause of independent and peaceful reunification of the country at any cost, overcoming difficulties before them.

The meeting decided to promote the development of the cultural relations and exchange between the two peoples with a main emphasis on steadily pushing forward the preparations for most significantly commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people.

Antti Sika Aho was reelected chairman of the society at the meeting.
