Russia Concerned over US Plan for MD

| Moscow, May 7 (KCNA) -- Dmitri Rogozin, Russian permanent representative at NATO, on May 5 expressed deep concern about the U.S. plan for establishing a missile defense system in Europe. As regards the U.S. plan to deploy interceptor missiles in Romania, he said that if this happened, the territory of Russia up to the Ural region might come within the range of U.S. interceptor missiles. He urged the U.S. not to have the interceptor missiles under the MD in Europe deployed near the Russian border, ie closer than their range. |
