Researchers and teachers of the university went to the Pyongyang Textile Mill and helped its technicians recondition the boiler of the dyeing shop to reduce the coal consumption by half and minimize the caustic soda content of waste water.

The Taehung Youth Hero Mine, with the help of the university's researchers and teachers, has almost finished the construction of a caking coal briquette shop needed for increased production of magnesia clinker.

The university has given assistance to the Pyongyang Flour-processing Factory and the Pyongyang Pig Farm in computerizing analysis equipment and developing additives necessary to improve the quality of bread and twists and raise the weight of pigs.

It has also aided the Changsong, Sakju and Musan foodstuff factories in streamlining their production processes and inventing different kinds of machines needed to turn out foodstuffs with materials available in local areas.
